Ciné + is a set of strings of French themed TVs dominant cinema. Currently number 6 channels, each channel of the bouquet is themed, from their broadcasts of films by categories that are mainly film categories.
Ciné + Classic
January 7, 1991 Ellipse Cable launches on cable and Canal satellite two pay channels dedicated to cinema, CinéCinémas, who is interested in the recent film and whose monthly subscription of 66 French francs and CinéCinéfil13,14 devoted to classic films 1930 to 1960, including the monthly subscription is 46 francs. The films are broadcast in black and white and often in original version and subtitled in French. It primarily targets movie lovers and lovers of retro cinema. Each day, the time of the news bulletins, documentaries on film history and portraits of actors complete the offer of films.
The chain changes name 3 September 1998 to take one of its European versions, Ciné Classics. Its broadcast agreement with the CSA is amended on 17 November 2001 and provides the opportunity for the channel to broadcast movies couleur3. Within the synergies following the merger of satellite platforms CanalSat and TPS, CinéCinéma Classic absorbs and replaces 21 March 2007 on the two clumps its competitor TPS Cinétoile launched in 19966.
This channel mainly broadcasts old classic films from the 1930s to the 1970s or even the 1980s, and regardless of the nationality of the movie aired.
